Landscape painting in Oil or Acrylic
Lucie shows you how to create a beautiful photo realist painting of a beach including how to paint realistic clouds.
Sessions go out on Instagram and Facebook on Fridays at 1pm and there will also be a link here on this website.
Stage 1 - Preparing Your Canvas - already on the Tidy st. Facebook page and Lucie Cookson's Instagram page.
Stage 2 - Finding a great image to paint from- 27th March
Stage 3 -Selecting, mixing and blending blues for your sky. 27th March
Stage 4 -Painting realistic clouds. 27th March
Ideas for Painting on If you don't have a canvas
If you don't have a canvas to paint on there are lots of other surfaces you can use. All you need is some house hold primer the type you whitewash your interior wall with and you are away. Any acrylic primer will do the trick and it doesn't have to be white. You can also use wall paper paste. Paint any of these on either thick paper, card, cardboard, hardboard, wood or even cotton or linen stapled to a board. I would recommend a couple of coats before you put down the yellow ground recommended in my video . Click on the link below to watch it now you will need to create an account by entering your email and making up a password.
